Pre-wedding Pictorial: Andrew + Denise

Taken on April 2011 at Balboa Park, Van Nuys.

Taken with just my Nikon D60 body, 50mm 1.4f lens, 18-55mm 4.5f lens and a reflector. I didn't have my SB-800 and SB-600 that time so we just used a reflector to fill light in the face, arms, and anything that needs to be filled. I really intended to have the shoot earlier than 8am as it's the best time for a shoot but it was just not possible. We just planned to have this shoot with our picnic so some did not make it on time for they have to prepare food and do other stuff.

It's still a success though. A lot of pictures, and a lot of food. YUM! hahaha

Thanks to all who were there to support the couple during the shoot. You all know who you are.

Enjoy browsing! Please don't hesitate to leave a comment if you want to.

Pre- wedding pictorial: Louie + Krizia

Pre-nuptial pictorial of Louie & Krizia. Taken at Huntington Central Park.

Special thanks to the couple, Lou & Krizia. Also to the people who assisted me during the process, Denise, Butch, & Annie. Thanks to JP, Dani and Tony for the moral support. I couldn't have done this without all of you. Thank you!

FLORA PHOTOGRAPHY

I love flowers, even if they give me the allergies in the morning. Nevertheless, I still super love them. Here are some images I took. Hope you like them. Comment if you have suggestions or constructive criticisms. Thank you!

The Script - Live Like We're Dying

I've heard this song last night and realized it makes a lot of sense. Hope you'll like it too.

Sometimes we fall down and can't get back up
we're hiding behind skin that's too tough
how come we don't say I love you
enough
till it's to late, it's not too late

Our hearts are hungry for a food that won't come
we could make a feast from these crumbs
and we're all staring down the barrel of a gun
so if your life flashed before you
what would you wish you would've done

Yeah... gotta start
lookin at the hand of the time we've been given here
this is all we got and we gotta start pickin it
every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
gotta live like we're dying

We only got
86 400 seconds in a day to
turn it all around or throw it all away
we gotta tell 'em that we love 'em
while we got the chance to say
gotta live like we're dying

And if your plane fell out of the skies
who would you call with your last goodbyes
should be so careful who we live out our lives
so when we long for absolution
there'll no one on the line

Yeah... gotta start
lookin at the hand of the time we've been given here
this is all we got and we gotta start pickin it
every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
gotta live like we're dying

We only got
86 400 seconds in a day to
turn it all around or throw it all away
we gotta tell 'em that we love 'em
while we got the chance to say
gotta live like we're dying

Like we're dying oh-- like we're dying [x2]

We only got
86 400 seconds in a day to
turn it all around or throw it all away
we gotta tell 'em that we love 'em
while we got the chance to say
gotta live -- like we're dying

We never know a good thing till it's gone
you never see a crash until it's head on
all those people right when we're dead wrong
you never know a good thing till it's gone

Yeah... gotta start
lookin at the hand of the time we've been given here
this is all we got and we gotta start livin it
every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
gotta live like we're dying

We only got
86 400 seconds in a day to
turn it all around or throw it all away
we gotta tell 'em that we love 'em
while we got the chance to say
gotta live like we're dying

Like we're dying oh -- like we're dying

We only got
86 400 seconds in a day to
turn it all around or throw it all away
we gotta tell 'em that we love 'em
while we got the chance to say
gotta live like we're dying
live like we're dying

ANIMAL-THEMED CUPCAKES

Hippo Cupcake
I liked making fondant cupcakes and shaping them into something. I've heard of animal or floral-themed birthday cupcakes so I thought why not give it a try? I learned that it takes a little imagination, a lot of patience, and love for what you do to pull it off. It's a little tedious especially for the small parts and when you're not using fondant mold to create it. But it definitely is worth trying. I love baking, I love fondant and I definitely love cupcakes! So here are some of what I've done so far.
